SECURITY IS NOT A BADGE

A transparent operations model instead of big promises.

Documents contain personal, business and often sensitive information. That is why we explain concretely how instances, storage and data lifecycles are handled.

THE CORE PRINCIPLES

Protection starts with the architecture.

No single measure solves security on its own. What matters is how network access, instance boundaries, storage and operations work together.

01 — ISOLATION

One Paperless environment per instance.

Archives are not mixed via a shared Paperless login or a jointly visible application.

02 — CAPACITY

Booked storage stays reserved.

The storage you buy counts as allocated, even while your documents do not yet use it fully.

03 — TRANSPORT

Web access is encrypted only.

Public access to the platform and instances is served over HTTPS.

04 — OPERATIONS

Updates and backups as a platform responsibility.

Maintenance is not offloaded onto the customer but organized through defined operational processes.

05 — DELETION

A visible grace period instead of instant loss.

After a cancellation the instance remains restorable for 14 days and is only deleted permanently afterwards.

06 — TRANSPARENCY

No invented certificates.

Audit seals, availability figures or compliance claims are only stated once they are actually verifiable.

FROM THE OUTSIDE IN

Clear boundaries between access, platform and customer instance.

The diagram shows the target picture of the platform architecture. Individual components may evolve, but the separation of responsibilities remains.

DATA LIFECYCLE

Even the end of an instance needs a clean process.

The interface makes states and deadlines visible so that cancellation and deletion never become surprising black boxes.

  1. 01
    Schedule the cancellation

The customer sees the planned contract end and confirms the consequences.

  2. 02
    Deactivate the instance

After the contract ends, the instance switches to a restorable state.

  3. 03
    14 days of recovery

Capacity stays reserved and restoration is possible in the customer portal.

  4. 04
    Delete permanently

Once the period expires, the instance and its data are permanently removed.

Transparency over marketing superlatives.

The public status page only shows real, connected metrics. As long as individual systems are not yet hooked up, no artificial “all operational” status is displayed.

READY FOR YOUR OWN PAPERLESS?

Security starts with an understandable product decision.

Try an isolated instance and then review storage, status and management in the customer portal.
